What To Do in Split
Again Split isn’t just like you’re average city. It’s not as beautiful as Dubrovnik by any means but it’s still pretty cool.
The underground market is worth a look but actually we spent most of our time there on the beach as it was our last chance to make the most of the sun.
The beach is a little bit of a walk from the main city but I’m sure you could probably get a cab if you’re not as cheap as us. We got there by walking down to the main ferry port and then turning left and following the coast all the way along until we hit the beach.
How Long To Stay in Split
I stayed in Split two nights which was enough time for me.
If you have time to continue exploring after Split it’s well worth a trip up the coast to Zadar too or if you’re flying out from Split you could always pop by the UNESCO heritage town Trogir for a day before heading off.
Where To Stay in Split
As with the rest of Croatia you can just book accommodation when you arrive with one of the many people holding up placards when you get off the ferry. Damn did our person lie about the location of their accommodation for that one. She claimed it was a 10 minute walk from the city center. It was about 40 mins with us dragging our bags behind the whole way. Always get them to show you where you’ll be staying on the map first.
